Paul Pierce Agrees w GYW 4th Q Analysis

From Globe columnist Dan Shaughnesy's first post-game piece ...

"I thought this was the best fourth quarter we've played all playoffs long," said Pierce, a 10-year veteran.

Which, of course, has been my point all the way along ...

And it did indeed come at the right time ...

In that context, Shaughnesy also echoed our points -- right after the game --

about the fact that their first decent 4th quarter came the first time the Celts won TWO away games in a playoff series this year ...

The fourth quarter was all Boston - 29-13 when it counted. On the road. In a clinch game. Against a team of experienced champions.

And the best reiteration of the point we made came from the Commissioner himself, Bob Ryan, in a piece appropriately titled, No Doubt About It Now ...

They have not only won an elimination game in the Eastern Conference finals, they have done so with a monster comeback, a fourth-quarter performance that will go down in Celtics history.

They have won a big playoff game on the road and they have won it in a style that the Russells, Cousys, Havliceks, and Birds could be proud of.

Indeed ... as we said ... several hours before ... from Singapore ... ;-) ...

The only problem with which is that he ended his sentence AND paragraph with a preposition ... tsk tsk, Bob ... ;-) ...
