The only good thing to be said about this DISGUSTING operation is that – amazingly enough – there appear to be relatively few deaths …
at least in the first four or so hours after the first report of an incident … although certainly plenty of casualties … and the whole scene in London does seem amazingly calm, given the circumstances … which is impressive …
You’ve also got to be impressed with the sheer media brilliance of this sickness – the day of the Gleneagles G-8 summit, with all the leaders in the UK, plus the day after London getting the Olympics …
Did they have this kind of operation planned for EVERY possible Olympic city ??? Or was it basically for the G-8 … and the Olympics being awarded to London just a serendipitous dessert ??? Regardless, it’s revoltingly brilliant …
Unlike Bush’s predictably pathetic immediate comment … where he gave a typically cliched comment in his usual “deeply felt” and incoherent fashion, then turned around and walked away without fielding a single question …
And in contrast to Tony Blair’s eloquence … how did he EVER let himself get so deeply tied up with a jerk like Bush … sad for him …
Our friend Sherry is in London on a business trip … and our friends Brad and Anna just moved there … will try calling momentarily, although, given what 9/11 was like, it won't be easy to get through …
What is IT these people have for morning rush hour ??? The World Trade Center, Madrid, and now London … really, there is no other word for these things but “disgusting” …
Let’s just hope that SOMEONE SOMEWHERE will have a creative response to the ON-GOING problem of the political Islam that justifies these sorts of barbaric actions …
Because we need something other than Bush’s immediate and continuing post-9/11 avoidance of political Islam, and the pathetic knee-jerk reaction in the US generally …
For immediate coverage, I’m checking out BBC on TV … and here’s the link to the BBC website.
Obviously, more later …

Kind of bumps political Islam ahead of global warming and poverty in Africa on the G-8 agenda, no?

Al Qaeda is claiming credit for the bombings, sure enough.

"And in contrast to Tony Blair’s eloquence … how did he EVER let himself get so deeply tied up with a jerk like Bush … sad for him …"
Why you think Blair is not as big a jerk as Bush is beyond me. Probably because you're not British. The grass always looks greener on the other side.
Bush and Blair deserve each other. However, the world deserves to be rid of them.

Well, Richie, in later posts, you'll see how sadly disappointed I became in Blair ... he really had a chance with London to blaze a different path in relation to political Islam, and he just blew it completely ...
Still, he's not a venal moron the way Bush is -- at least the guy has a brain, and is not a TOTAL sell-out to the most disgusting elements of the British political economy the way Bush is to the integrated Texas energy companies / high-tech military contractors / Haliburton - Bechtel big graft construction firms / Wall Street speculators ...
